I was lucky enough to go to Promax Uk this year. The sessions at the conference were awesome. Will Self did an amazing talk about imagination and creativity. It was alot better than it sounds. I did so much thinking about the process of being creative and work in general, that I'm a bit sick of those thoughts now. But I did learn some very useful things there. Such as 'the world belongs to the discontent.' Which really is reassuring, considering my own lack of contentment.
Seeing the work produced here in the UK is definately motivating. I guess at the end of the day, its just great to step back from what you are doing day to day and think about things with a bit more objectivity.
Luckily I found myself working on a very cool project when I got back to work this week. Ready to channel all of the inspiration that I found at promax. It nearly killed me, but working on chunkier projects is what I came here for.
The fancy awards ceremony after promax was also very fun, but I could have done with getting home before 4am.

Things have been a bit mental lately. Here are some pics of us going to the channel five launch party. The theme was hollywood glamour. It is nice to get glammed up every now and again, but I also love the moment when I can step out of my heels into a nice pair of thongs...apparently you can take the girl out of Australia, but you can't take the thongs away from her when she leaves.

I finally got around to finishing this one off in some down time.
