ONE/ Family (including the demkiw dogs) and friends. Pretty obvious really.

TWO/ The sun. Winter is wearing me down and the lack of sun is seriously cramping my lifestyle. I long for the easy breezy lifestyle of home. Jogging before or after work.

THREE/ Baby Cakes. I miss the strawberry ones the best I think. But then there is always hazlenut and mint chocolate. The little stars on top of them are so cute. Actually Baby Cakes represents the selection of great food places in Summer Hill. Envy for long sun drenched breakfasts in the courtyard. Muse for exotic tapas (I liked the simple dips and bread). The Thai place for excellent dishes all round. The bakery for reliable bread. The asian grocers for the best asian greens.

FOUR/ The Nepalese Kitchen. MOMO'S!!!! And the roast tomato curry dal baht. If I was honest, most thngs that I miss could be food related.

FIVE/ Oprah. I know it's sad. But I miss her heartfelt advice. I miss her predictabillity. I used to watch Oprah almost every lunch time when I used to work at Ten. It really is a wonder that i can get through life without my Oprah dosage!

So I'm working on my first project under the umbrella project titled, Project Happiness. Its kinda convoluted I guess. But it is just meant to provide some long term motivation to getting some projects started and completed. Something which I have been struggling with since uni I guess.
I am good at getting excited about the prospect of new projects, I'm just not very good at completing them. Hopefully that's all about to change.

So I went to the VideoForum yesterday and checked out the new adobe broadcast programs. It looked pretty impressive.
I watched demonstration after demonstration and I felt quite inspired to create.
It was nice to be so close to the forum as well. I thought I could learn something from the Aftereffects Masterclass. But I had to pinch myself from falling asleep. I couldn't believe that it was so basic.
I had fun today putting together a small title sequence for Neil and Jim's short movie. It was nice to animate for a change. I havn't been doing enough of it. But I know I'm just about to get very busy.
I'm also working on a person project. Project happiness. First step is a small motion graphics piece. I think the title is going to be something like 'The Daylight Hours'. Its going to be about going crazy in winter. Well maybe not crazy. But I guess just about the chnages that winter can bring. I'm goign to try and give myself a deadline of four weeks and see how I go.

I've been reading Ebba's Online Travel Journal Entries. It sounds so exciting. And I was amazed by the photos of Ebba land deep in snow. Ebba's little yellow house that seemed so summery when we were there last year, looks so different covered in snow.

So I've been trying to work on the blog, trying to get some links to work. It's been a little like stumbling in the dark trying to get it to work. And it doesn't quite work very well at all. But its a start.
I've been trying to be inspired. I went on a bit of a jaunt to the Design Museum yesterday with Helen. I completely misjudged the time it would take to get there and ended up being late. But the design museum was good. And the shop was even better. I brought a new design book about character design and couldn't resist getting a notebook filled with various grids and line, decorated with little doodles.
We headed out towards Bourough markets afterwards and ended up finding some lovely cake nearby. It was chilly sitting out on the on-street seating. But the cake was well worth it.
I've been working on the DMI website lately. My favorite design of the week is above. Its for the Splash page. Haha. Its been quite fun getting it together.
I finished reading the Dark Tower series this morning. It was great to get to the end of it finally. And I think the ending was actually really good. I feel like I should start to read them over again and remember them from the beginning.
There is some sun outside. I'm almost feeling motivated to go outside and go for a jog or walk or something. But I'm not quite feeling ready. If only this sunday would last forever....Cause I think I got the Sunday Blues
