XMAS PARTY ISSUES
![]() So work Xmas Party is next Tuesday. But I'm still waiting for my new shoes to arrive. I foolishly ordered them online and only then did I notice the expected delivery time. Hopefully they arrive tomorrow or Tuesday so I can wear them to the event. Otherwise I will have to find an event to wear them to, so I can enjoy them fully. M

THE WEEK IN REVIEW
![]() Christmas Day is now just one short week away. I can't believe it. Things have been busy. But it's been a good week. (Here is the Chimney Sweep themed Xmas card that I designed for Maya. She really does love being a chimney sweep) Sunday I particpated in a Yum Cha feast with Shawn and Val, and their friend Rob. I really do love a good momo. And the sweet lotus paste buns were a welcome surprise. Monday was spent catching up with the Ascent Media friends. We had a few drinks and feasted at Waggamamma's. (But did I really need a starter and a dessert?) Particular fun was had by those who took the opportunity to ride on the Funfair rides Leicester Square. I think the song playing at the time was very appropriate for Bendall and Yudhana snuggled up together in their little cart humming along to Hungry Eyes. Tuesday was Ben Folds extravaganza at the Brixton Academy. The support band was a bit tedious. But the dancing of the singer was entertaining and very unique. Ben was in fine form as expected, and Neleh and I enjoyed the comfort of enjoying the event sitting down. Particularly memorable was Ben's cover of a Dr Dre song about a gangstar in prison who sufferred the misfortune of being cheated on by his hooker girlfriend with his cousin. Very funny. Wednesday was a lovely night spent talking to Pissy on the phone. I woke her up early and we chatted for over an hour and a half about everything and nothing. She made me particularly curious about my Xmas gifts sitting safely wrapped up in my cupboard. I might have become overwhelmed and ripped them open soon after she admitted that my gifts had been opened as soon as the parcel had arrived. My family have some serious issues with waiting for gifts. My gifts were very welcome. Some new Bonds undies and the new CD of cover versions of songs by Neil and Tim Fin. I stayed up loading it onto my ipod and spent the next day learning all of the songs over again. Thursday I worked some overtime and suffered from overheating for the first time in a long time. I feel like I'm always cold these days. Standing outside in the elements for anywhere up to half an hour twice a day is really affecting my pyschological state of being. But then again perhaps a spencer and leggings under my jeans and wool trekking songs is a bit much for around a heated office. I couldn't even eat my soup for lunch I felt so over hot. Friday evening was a bit of a blur of friends, eating and christmas cracker popping. And one really cold wait for the night bus home. Feeling exhausted today. But I've not been doing much to strain myself any further. M

THANKS JAMES!
So thanks to James' genius with technology, the website looks almost exactly how I wanted it to. Its only taken.....hmmm a year to get it together. Wow. It really is December and there is only one weekend before Christmas. The year has really flown. The project of 2005 has somehow become the project of 2006. Strangley enough, the fact that something small has been achieved in a quantifiable time frame is of great comfort to me.
Who knows what could happen next year? Today a blog....Tomorrow the World! M

ROWING TIPS #1
Correct rowing attire is important. Hard core strength training and sports conditioning won't do you any good if you don't a have a pair of rose coloured sunglasses. Get with the program or get off my boat sister.
